TEACHING ACTIVITIES:

1995 - present Responsible for training Fellows (postgraduate MD) in interpretative laboratory toxicology
1995 Course PL ... Pharmacology of the Drugs of abuse - Undergraduate program
1980-present Course CBL1509 (Dept. of Clinical Biochemistry, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto): Graduate Course - Chromatographic semeration methods, Annual 6 hours of lectures and 12 hours project supervision.
1988-present Elective and Selective program for Faculty of Medicine Students interested in Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
1990-1992 Drugs in the Emergency Room: 20 hours with laboratory exercises. (The Michener Institute)
1981-1983 Postdoctoral Fellow Supervision.

EXTENSION TEACHING AS ON-GOING ANNUAL EVENT

On-going active participation in a teaching programme organized by the Addiction Research Foundation for improving the skills of physicians in private practice in recognizing alcoholics and drug users. This is done through seminars and consultations.
As a consultant to private laboratories by organizing on-going teaching seminars for physicians in various fields of biochemistry.
On-going active participation in hospital teaching rounds at Addiction Research Foundation and at various other hospitals in Toronto (e.g. Toronto General, Toronto Western, Toronto East General, St. Joseph's, Hospital for Sick Children .
Seminar to medical students who choose alcohol and drugs as a selective (elective) either through Department of Medicine or Department of Clinical Biochemistry.
Seminars to physicians preparing for their specialty in clinical toxicology.
